Pre Treatment and Aftercare

For best results and to make the most of the procedure, it is important to follow the advice given below

Before the treatment

  • To achieve optimal results, it is crucial to avoid having a tan during a session. Additionally, exposing the skin to tanning between sessions increases the risk of hypo/hyperpigmentation
  • Do not tan between sessions
  • Avoid using tanning beds or applying spray/false tan for 2-3 weeks before your first tattoo removal session
  • On the day of the treatment, do not apply any oil or moisturiser to keep your skin product-free
  • If the patch test was painful, apply topical numbing cream for a more comfortable experience.

After the treatment

  • Avoid picking or popping blisters or scabs to prevent scarring, pigmentation, or discolouration
  • If bleeding extends beyond the bandage, keep the gauze in place and change the bandage regularly to reduce infection risk. Contact the clinic if you suspect an infection
  • 48 hours post-treatment, gently wash the area with mild soap, pat dry, and avoid rubbing
  • Keep the treated area covered, especially in regions prone to friction like hips and feet
  • For significant swelling in extremities, elevate the affected area to facilitate fluid drainage, especially at night
  • Do not expose the treated area to sun
